National Citizens' Party (NCP) has officially withdrawn the show-cause notice against its Joint Convener Sarwar Tushar, restoring him to all party activities after a two-month suspension. The decision followed a review of Tushar’s written response, evidence, and his compliance with the party’s directive to remain inactive during the period.

Tushar had been barred from representing the NCP in the July countrywide march, the National Consensus Commission, media engagements, and organizational programs including Narsingdi’s rally, in line with a show-cause order issued on June 17. The party said the case, rooted in a leaked phone call controversy, was handled with “sensitivity toward women and in the interest of justice.” With this decision, Tushar has been reinstated in full organizational responsibilities.
