Pakistan and Bangladesh have launched the “Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor” to deepen educational and professional ties. Over the next five years, 500 scholarships will be offered to Bangladeshi students for higher studies in Pakistan, with 25% reserved for medical courses. In addition, 100 Bangladeshi civil servants will receive specialized training, and scholarships under the Pakistan Technical Assistance Program have increased from 5 to 25.

The announcement coincided with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar’s visit to Dhaka, the first by a Pakistani FM in 13 years. During the trip, both countries signed six major agreements covering visa-free entry for officials, trade, diplomatic training, media collaboration, joint research, and cultural exchange programs.

The initiative is expected to strengthen academic, professional, and cultural links between Pakistan and Bangladesh, offering expanded opportunities for students, civil servants, and institutions in both countries.
