The National General Assembly (NGA) 2025 of the Bangladesh Medical Students’ Society (BMSS) is underway at Daffodil International University campus in Dhaka.

The program opened this morning with standing committee sessions and the Opening Ceremony, attended by Prof. Dr. Md. Abu Jafor, Director General of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), as Chief Guest, and National Professor A.K. Azad Khan, President of Diabetic Association of Bangladesh (BADAS), as keynote speaker. Guests of honour include Prof. Dr. Muzaherul Huq from the World Federation for Medical Education, Dr. A B M Alauddin Chowdhury, Professor & Head of the Department of Public Health and Dr. Tahmina Shirin, Director of IEDCR.

Sessions throughout the day feature discussions on mental health in medical training, reproductive health, research innovation, and oral cancer screening. Clinical workshops on CPR, obstetric emergencies, diabetes management, and surgical skills are scheduled for the afternoon.

The assembly will close this evening with an award ceremony, where Prof. Dr. Nazmul Hossain, DG of DGME, will serve as Chief Guest.
